I'll send the turn in the morning. Make sure that you approve the settler movement. The southern guy hill join the warrior on that hill, The northern dude will move NW and settle on the plains by the river.

Ok, though I would be careful about checking that goody hut now. If there are barbarians - settler may be killed. I think I remember I had such case - barbarian standing near undefended settler and a worior chose to kill settler first. Anyone had similar experiences?

Moving settler south is fine.

IIRC, there are no barbarians in huts for the first 10 turns or so, but just in case I am wrong, let's found both cities first, then pop the hut.

You don't get a free settler from a hut if you already have one in play.

having an eager to join tribe-settler would be just sweet

getting e.g. bronze working possibly even better.

I believe, from my own experience, that you can pop barbs as soon as you have founded your first city.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Barbarians are the most likly "gift" from the hut. I'd suggest bypassing it for now. If we pop it with culture we won't get barbs.

Should the suthern city be built on the hill or should we move one more tile south to the grassland, then the city can also be a nice canal for our ships.

I tried to think of terrain coverage in case we establish that "canal" city - good idea. In this case I would have the following proposal, please review and write your oppinions.

Full PM-box? Change here!

Normally I would go with the hill, but in this case the advantages of the canal could prove quite worthwhile later on.

I like Mart's plan so far, dependent on what further exploration reveals.

I just got the save. Lets verify orders before I send it on this evening.

  • The northern settle can build his city.
  • The northern warrior will continue N to the hills, he will not pop the hut.
  • One worker will start a road to the settler about to settle.
  • The other worker will probably not be able to move this turn because he just finished irrigating, but he will move to the bonus grass to work.
  • the west worker just finished the road and will move to the forest.
  • The southern settler will backtrack to settle the forest as per Octavians plan.
  • The southern warrior will continue on to the hills in the west.

Put an end to popups!

We can pop the hut now or later. Either is fine. The orders sound are fine with me.
