1. It was proposed and was not commented on.
2. Moving to a forest tile is not usefull at the moment. Chopping is done in 3 turns. It has been mentioned that it is not usefull to have 10 extra shields that soon.
3. We need infrastructure. Due to the rivers, over the hill is the best way to connect to U2 and Nirvana.
4. Some people want to use mined hills really badly. When roaded now that nothing else is more urgent, it's mined quicker later on.
5. Any better suggestions?

Put an end to popups!

McMeadows is correct. If we don't road that hill then it will take 3 turns to get from Abba to U2 because of the river structure. It's also better to get to Nirvana this way. I didn't comment because I agreed with it.

I don't think mining it so early would be a great idea though (at least until we get to another government). Just road and move on and we'll come back to it later.

By the way, can you have whomever is sending the save to us add me to the distribution list to receive the save. I'd like to be able to take a look at it and comment from that instead of commenting from the posted pictures. Thanks.

Oh, and I'll also need to know the password.

There is no intention to mine that hill at the moment. It was merely a wink to Snoopy as he's been avocating the productivity of hills so much

I was just wondering ... I didn't notice the move issue, actually. I assume that worker is heading off towards U2 eventually?

Mining of course is always good once we hit monarchy

at the moment it's not an issue as granaries are not yet available. Barracks are being build to support our "Archer rush" strategy.

Any more comments? Save is close again. I'll be gone for most of the day today. I'll be here untill 5:00 Snoopy time. If I'm not back before 17:00 Snoopy time, could one of you play the turn?

Put an end to popups!

One thing we may want to consider for the 'beach boys' city btw- if the area to the north of the furs is really good, we can fit two cities in there in the short term - one on one of the squares around the hills there or on a hill, and one directly north of the furs; the middle city would be disbanded later in the game (as it's on a square that would be used by Nirvana) but it would allow us to use squares we otherwise couldn't use (ie use all of our grassland squares earlier), and could function as a settler/worker producer (not a pump, obviously, but sort of ICS theory here - build a city just so it can build you another settler). Similar to what Rhoth was saying about the cow by the ivory ...

But this only applies if the area we can't see right now north of the furs and NW of it is pretty good land; it wouldn't be very useful if that's not particularly useful. If it's all forest, then it might or might not be useful; depending on how many workers we have, if they can clear the forest fast enough. But if it's, say, BGs, or even better has some cow/wheat type things in it, then it's definitely useful, as the 'camp' city (the extra city that will be later disbanded) will get to use the BG two north of Nirvana, and some of the grassland/plains/hills there, and at minimum can ultimately use a lot of the coast/sea squares for ++ trade ...

"New" orders for 3850 BC:

Worker on hill: roads
Worker on cow: 9 or 6, to chop, if pottery is obtained; if not, move 7 to road, and later chop a forest as forest chop comes too early.
Worker on Ivory: finishes the irrigation.

Warrior west: moves 4 (already done) (finds B.O.H. - look at other threads)
Warrior east: moves 2 (already done)

Settler: found Nirvana.
