I don't know how familiar you are with them, but the floor traders I've met are pretty athletic. They have to be.

The Greenpeace members were trespassing and trying to disrupt the business activity. The oil traders were trying to prevent the disruption and informing the Greenpeace nutjobs (er... 'activists') to kindly GET THE HELL OUT!

They should have gotten beaten up worse and the state should make the punishment for such disruptive activities stiffer. They don't want to talk to anyone they just want to disrupt things and cause a big scene thus I'd like to see repeat offenders start getting years in jail.

I've worked on the trading floor there (not as a trader! just as support staff as summer jobbing), and my dad used to be head of marketing at the IPE for several years.

We both found this highly amusing.
