We have the following things to consider:

1. What should we ask for Masonry from BOH

2. What should we research now if Pottery is obtained

I'm speaking for myself and McMeadows here...


1. Pottery, and possibly more. McM wants pottery for masonry and anything else is a bonus, i'd like to push a little more.
1a. If they ask for a no trade clause, both of us are a little more leery of trading without additional bonus, a gpt or two more at least.

2. I'd like to go with Bronze Working, as we need BW to do an effective archer rush against a military civ; also, IW is very useful and probably won't be resarched by many other civs early on. However, it's minimally tradeable (2 civs have it right now), which is McM's concern with it.

McMeadows would like to reserach Wheel, as it is unowned at the moment and thus imminently tradeable, getting BW possibly for it. I'm not sure anyone will trade much for it, and thus am not as interested in it as it's more or less worthless as a tech to us if it's not tradeable. (Also, HBR will probably be tradeable in the same way that Wheel is; McM I presume would argue it is useful to trade, as nobody will research it, while I'd say it's not useful so not really tradeable ...)

sounds like we need to to do what ever it takes to achieve the archer rush, except the wheel


I would not waste anytime with the wheel.
In all my playings, never have gotten anything for it, they would probably be insulted-which has happened to me

BW is 5% tradeable..

Wheel & HBR are tradeable ... moreover tradeable with all other civs.. All together it will yield more. We'll get BW... By that time we're the only ones without BW, so it's not worth that much
in credits BW=3, wheel=4
anyway...
