Yes, society functioned before cell phones. Society also functioned before electricity, but I doubt if you would be too happy if some environmental activist found a way to shut off all electricity at night.
Cell phones aren't nessecary to keep the world functioning, but they can save lifes and help people who are in desperate need of it. Payphones aren't always available, for instance on the roadside after an accident. Payphones also aren't an option for people who would be on the recieving end of a call, for instance a doctor or paramedic who was need ASAP. |
you call that trolling? for once, I am not. The 80's were not that long ago. It was a great decade. There were no cell phones (though car phones were coming about). We got by just fine. And traffic fatalities were about the same as they are now.
