	Diplomacy, ambassadors and contacts Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

To all teams, please appoint your official ambassadors and post their MSN contact details in this thread. These ambassadors will negotiate deals on behalf of their teams over MSN and post the negotiations transcripts in the private forums.

The idea behind this is to have all contacts ready prior to any civ meeting another, so that the negotiations can begin without delay and progress smoothly.


I'll update the first post with contacts as they arrive.
I'm also sending an email with this proposal to every team captain.

I find it amusing that with the exception of Moonbars, the rest of us are all FG:GO players ... Will make for some ... interesting ... diplomacy between that game and this one

Of course, we ultimately decide to form the GO-ruling "DG Alliance" and agree to end the game by all sending our fleets into a neutral corner and "fight all comers" being the orders for all of us, after we have decimated all of our opponents. Much easier than constantly trading cities for selfbases.

The Babylonians are pleased to announce their Ambassador for Foreign Affairs.

The selection of Mister Shogun Gunner, of Babylon, was an exhaustive process including a civil service exam, evaluation of hph (hieroglyphics per hour) chisel speed, and an evaluation of Mr. Gunner's morality tested by a sacrifice to the almighty Goddess Inanna. Needless to say, Shogun Gunner passed with flying colors -- if he had not, he would have been been immediately sacrificed to appease our vengeful Goddess, Inanna (see below).

Please take a moment to say "hello" to the new Babylonian Ambassador as he visits your respective capitals for the first time in the coming years. Any interoffice scrolls that could be forwarded to Babylonian capital to shorten Shogun's learning curve would be appreciated.

Update: The Babylonians are pleased to announce a second Ambassador for Foreign Affairs: Gamecube64 of Babylon

Gamecube64 will handle the the diplomatic relations with The Lost Boys and the Blood Oath Horde (no access to the private forum required ). Gamecube64 will post a scroll with his contact information within a couple of moons.

Shogun Gunner will handle the diplomatic relations with Euphorica, Ankh-Morpork, and Desolation Row. Apparently my job with the Ankh-Morpork will be relatively easy as that nation has not assigned a diplomatic counterpart for me to work with. I'll just put my sandled feet up regarding that job - more time to ride my pet camel.

I think you will find us Babylonians easy to work with...and we desire peace. However, we understand human nature. Some of you are not to be trusted - that is for sure! Today, it is impossible to know who can and cannot be trusted. We will carefully study your actions and make our own determination regarding your trustworthiness. We are more than capable to defend ourselves.

Blood Oath Horde got a scientific great leader upon researching the "Instant Messenging" tech.

Unfortunately, I fear the Babylonians have not researched this tech yet. We would be happy to send this tech accepted to you if you would care to receive it.

We've had the "Instant Messenging" tech since 4000 BC.

But the earlist form had no alphabet and instead used Babylonian herographics.

The first known IM on our system was about the finer points of Cerimonal Burial.

That was followed quickly by another set of IMs containing one hundred every day uses for Bronze.

There have been slight changes in the Horde Foreign Ministry.

ChrisiusMaximus has assumed his duties of foreign minister and PLATO and I have been appointed ambassadors to certain nations.

PLATO will cover the Horde foreign relations with the Ankh-Morpork and the Babylonians.

I will continue to cover the foreign affairs with the Desolation Row and the Lost Boys.

ChrisiusMaximus will maintain contact with the Euphoricans.

I am no longer serving the Horde in the capacity of ambassador to any nation.

Until a new ambassador is appointed, envoys from the Desolation Row or the Lost Boys may contact either Chris or PLATO, our remaining two foreign ministry officials.

due to on going RL matters, Chrisus Maximus will no longer be able to conduct his role as Ambassador of the Horde to the Euphorican nation.

for a short while, I as Khan have been covering for Chrisius. As some of you know I am very busy at the end of the financial year. Yes now, so I have to slow down on my efforts, and thus this is one duty that I have to give over.

It is with great pleasure that I today announce that Ambassador Ljube has been able to change his schedule and thus will again be the Horde Ambassador to the Court of Euphorica.
