Suggest (from earlier discussion):

Gunther (east) moves 9.

Cain (west) moves 9.

Abel (south) moves 6.

Questions:

1. What to build in Babylon. We were thinking granary - but as jon pointed out, maybe we should wait and see if there are food tiles to the south (which there are already). We can put it on warrior or bowman, or temple, for now)

2. Next tech to research???

3. Bab Worker 1, now 3 of Plains of Ashur. What does he do next? Move to sugar and road. Hlep out other workers? Move 6 and start on new tile?

All Hail, Babylon.

WHEAT!!!!

* Kloreep does a food dance

I'd suggest Abel 2 to scout out the area around the wheat. I think we should found our next city in that area anyway, and if there's another food source that can get us to +5 is despotism, we'll want to know so we can place a food pump that can get both.

Babylon build: With the wheat discovered, I don't think a granary is the best long-term course for Babylon. I'd say pop out a settler ASAP, going with warriors first as the food/shield balance makes necessary.

Next tech: I'd say Wheel. Mysticism is another good option if we want to improve our trading odds (it has a prerequisite, Wheel doesn't) but it won't reveal Horses like Wheel can.

Iron Working is an alternative but that will probably be a popular choice and we may be able to trade for it.

Bab Worker 1: I'd say have him help out Ashur, future granary site; mine the sugar.

On workers in general: We should get a road going to the future wheat city. It looks like that will include roading a hill. We should start reasonably soon. Probably one of the clumped workers should head there once the current tile is done (stopping to road Babylon 9 first, perhaps?)

Suffering from ads?

I'm thinking Granery builds now. Use existing units to scout. Use forest chops to speed them along.
The faster we can claim this nearby sites the better off we'll be.

I'd really like to see where the horses are located with this kind of starting location, so I'd vote for the wheel.

If the Babylon warrior (Abel) moves 2, then he is going to have to eventually go east or west. I was thinking he goes 6 then 2. This will likely reveal all the tiles down to the coast, and from there he can explore west.

We will not have a settler out for awhile. And we do not have to finalize builds next turn. A slight swing east for Abel saves us having to come back and explore it later.

As to tech - there are a lot of militraistic civs out there. They probably already have the wheel. How about Mysticism, and we trade for the wheel?

This is true. Okay, let's have him complete our map of the east first.

Either works.

On the one hand, it would be good to know where the horses are. On the other hand, we're still busy setting up our core, so how useful would the information really be at this point?
