And once again - I forgot to name warriors. The southern one is Abel - and he has spotted not only another luxury and more coast, but pesky barbarians. I guess his next move will depend on what the barb does. Any thoughts?

In the east - Gunther closes in on the hut. He will pop it next turn unless someone does from the other side of the hill. Fingers crossed.

In the west - I suggest Gunther moves 9, to the hill.

The warrior from the plains of Ashur - may I suggest we call him Arthur - his probable move is 8. (unless we want to pull him back in case Abel is unable () to handle the barbs.

The warrior from Inanna's thone - may I suggest that units from this city be female in order to reflect our egalitarian society - we could call Anna. ( I am saving Annie for the first bowperson produced from this city.)

(If folks would rather we have all male names - that is fine by me too. I'm just making this stuff up as I write. )

And this warrior should move 8? 9?

I have changed Babylon's build to bowman (9turns), but less with city growth.

The other two are producing warriors.

Plains of Ashur will produce a warrior in 4 turns with its grwoth in 2 turns. A granary is 30 turns. Closer to 18 with the upcoming growth.

We are researching Mysticsm. 10 turns. That will decrease as well with city growth. With the 3 city start we are going to blast thorugh the ancient era, me thinks.

This is emperor, right?

We need more than one warrior down there if that can be managed.

If we're sending the Plains of Ashur warrior up north, it looks to me like Gunther should head west, or at least due north 8-8.

I think west is the better option if we are sending PoA warrior away. The PoA warrior can search the north for civs while Gunther searches the west.

Sounds fine to me. We certainly shouldn't be naming a mere warrior Ivanova or somesuch, but Anna...

2. Especially with barbs on the loose, I don't think we should send her away.

If we want to get a settler out ASAP, a warrior and then a settler would be most efficient, producing the settler just as Babylon grows to pop 3. I think we may want to do that. Especially if we're going to send all these warriors out to explore, I view quantity as better than quality in the military at this point. And I do think we should get settlers out of Babylon and Inanna's Throne ASAP. (With the mine currently being layed taking the corruption hit, Inanna's Throne should also be able to produce one more warrior and then do a settler in 10 along with the growth to 3 in 10.)

I believe we have at least 2 more city sites we want to settle quickly - one to the southeast by the sugar and additional bonii, and one to the southwest by the wheat and bonii. If we want to catch the luxury in our initial settlement, we could actually do two cities to the southeast. So 2-3 settlers more wanted in our immediate future, IMO...

Another warrior and then the granary sounds good to me.

  • The guy in the west should move N, not NE. We'll move to that mountain anyway after that. Moving NE to the hill will not reveal anything more in that case. Moving N may reveal terrain to the west.
  • We should be very careful to pop the hut in the east. This is Emperor level, so popping the hut gives us a big chance of barbs, especially since our demographics stats are quite good (I think there is some sort of balancing effect). We may even want to skip the hut. OTOH - it is quite far from our cities.
  • The warrior from Innana's Throne should always be able to defend its home town against the barbs.
  • Our city planning pattern provides for a "free" destruction of the barb camp since we're planning to plant a city right next to it. However, we need some warriors / bowmen to protect our vulnerable targets. Get as much units as we can first, then go for settlers, and finally a granary or two.

Since when are barbarbians yellow???

I think we should clear the camp of barbs prior to founding a city in that area. We need to find out if there are whales in the sea salt tiles before finalizing the city spot. Hate to see a whale tile go unworked by all our cities. (2/1/2 and no work required for it other than getting it inside culture boundary.) Improves to 3/1/2 with a Harbor.

I'm happy to see a second luxary within our natural boundary.

BFM - I think we should pop the hut in the east. It is fairly far away - and on a hill - therefore more visible. It may be gone next turn anyway. I agree that there are good chances of getting barbs, but we still may get somthing good out of it. And if its barbs, our warrior is on a hill for defensive purposes.

I agree that we try and pop the nothern hut with a city.

jon - I afree that we should destroy the barb camp first. I would actually like a bowman to do the job. Are folks OK with that.

And I also agree that we need a unit to 'walk' the coastline to see what we can see. I'm with you on the value of whales.

Put an end to popups!

Are the yellow barbs your graphics mod, Beta?

We want to ramp up the experience on our bowman, so yes, let's use a bowman to clean up the squatter barb camps.

Are we bypassing the hut in the NW?

Yellow is the default colour for barbs when one of the team chooses while as their team colour - which AbbA did.

Now, I'm not sure what happens when both white and yellow are taken???

3600BC Turn Report

Abel (southern warrior) attacks barb. Kills barb but down to 1hp. Abel gets promoted to vet.

(in doing this, I considered if the attack was unsuccessful who could get back to Babylon to cover. In looking at it now, I'm not sure the north central warrior could have. eek)

Cain in the west moves north.

The central warrior - yet to be named - moves north.

And Anna from Inanna's Throne moves north. She can return to the city if the barb from the camp starts north - but that is doubtful as there was only one there at the start of the turn.

Gunther in the west pops the hut - and gets a map of the region. Great bonus at this point in th game. We can see the land of the Lost Boys. We should make friends - even if they are vampires. 1889 was almost a Babylonian.

The worker on the grassland roads.

The worker on the sugar tile mines.
