Ok folks, for those of you that are actually still checking this forum... the war starts this turn. I will post screenies when we get the save of the proposed plan of attack, and you can yay or nay it as you see fit. It's a combined 2-front land/sea assault with some "marine" rider landings if all goes well. I'm also going to contact MAST and SS when we get the save to make sure we are squared away on the diplo front. Actually got a message from OPD saying that he was pretty sure we were going to war soon, hoped that it wasn't against MAST, and asked to help out if it were SS or LL.

Let's show them the power of cheese!

Ok, got the turn, built an embassy, and did some spyin' on our target cities...

1st is Mertixell, the lynchpin to the ground assault rapid attack. Fortunately, it's defended by a lone, unfortified musketman.

The bulk of all their southern forces is concentrated in Gisele. 3 Muskets and 18 Legions. The upside is that if we are able to seize all of the cities around Gisele, we've cut of their mobility, and our Riders rule the day with freedom of movement.

Now, Lolita is nice because it's defended by a lone knight, and has a half-built Forbidden Palace in it. Seems like a nice juicy target to me!

Leonor and Judith can both be hit from Lolita. Leonor would be destroyed when captured, so no biggie there. Judith is empty, and would mostly just help to pen in Gisele.

Montserrat is takeable, but not on the first turn due to the jungle surrounding it. On the up side, they won't be able to reinforce it from anywhere but Gisele, which does them no good.

The only other downer is that there are no viable landing sites on the first turn out from Japan. The flip side of that is that they have devoted at least 12 legions that I could see to defending from sea landing, which means 12 less Legions to bug us in the south. And with the Japan fleet sailing around, they are going to have to decide how to split defending from a landing while not keeping those forces tied up forever.

When building the embassy, it showed they are 7 turns from Sistenes in their capital. That's going to be a painful choice for them to make, also.

Finally, if all goes well in the south, we will have cut off their only horse supply, eliminating their mobile units, and cut off one of their luxuries, throwing their capital and probably a few other cities in disorder.

Anybody want me to send them the save or more screenies? I'd like to start the attacks late tonight or tomorrow so we aren't holding the save forever.

Also, could I get someone to hit up diplomatic duty with SS and MAST? MAST has already indicated they want to help in whatever we're doing, but Trip worries me. We had an agreement with Togas and SS to not interfere with our war, but I'd like to make sure that they remember that.
