Turn Orders: 3650bc Support Apolyton

Actions taken in 3650 BC

Worker McM: finished chopping forest
Worker Rhoth: finished roading the hill
Worker Snoopy: still mining the riverside BG

Warrior Rex: moved 2 and ran into a goodie hut @ 3
Warrior Dog: moved 7 to cut off the DR warrior

AbbA (2F, 1S, 3C)
18/20 in granary, 28/60 on granary
WF on 2F, 1S, 3C (ivory)
U2 (2F, 1S, 1C)
8/20 in granary, 8/20 on barracks
WF on 2F, 1S, -C (BG)
Nirvana (2F, 1S, 1C)
6/20 in granary, 3/20 on barracks
WF on 2F, 1S, 1C (riverside BG)

BW offered (accepted) to BOH
the wheel @ 90% science in 10 turns.
Treasury @ 7 (+1)

Remarks
- We're in a unfavourable position with DR's warrior. If they move 7, they will be able to view the goodie hut & an undefended Nirvana. We will have to stick with Nirvana. The goodie hut could be opened by our worker McM
- The goodie hut warrior Rex stumbled upon is likely to be opened by BOH to have benefits shared from their expansionist trait.
- From diplo it was retrieved that DR is most likely indeed working on IW. Came to an open trade agreement to trade IW for HBR. They'll be thinking we allready have the wheel. BOH could be asked to work on something else...
- Our unfavorable starting position on techs looks to be improving. With an early granary and such neighboors I would consider giving more builder style a chance. DR still opposes a threat with an Immortal Rush. However I wonde if we would be able to have an archer rush up and going fast enough to prevent such.

Proposal for actions in 3600 BC

Worker McM: road grass OR open goodie hut
Worker Rhoth: move 2 to BG, connecting AbbA & U2
Worker Snoopy: continue mining the BG

Warrior Rex: move 6 on mountain to extend view
Warrior Dog: depends on actions of DR. Most likely not moving. Only if DR warrior moves 8, Dog could move 8 too.

We just need to get a deal from them to give us a portion of whatever they receive from it. If it's gold then we get half. If it's tech then we share it, if it's a settler then they'll have to compensate us with something else.

It does look like we're stuck between a couple of other warmongerers (Dominae has a sense of humor ) who might be ready for us by the time we have an archer rush ready. Builder style suits me. I've always considered myself a warbuilder anyway. I build up...then make war that others can't counter.

I would oppose popping the hut with our worker. If it ends up barbs (likely on emperor level for a non-expansionist team) then we just lost worker McM and we get our capital sacked a few times by barbs (potentially at least). We should road that tile and then, if DR gets close to popping the hut, get the worker the heck out of the area.

I agree with the rest of the orders.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

I've always wondered if the odds are depended on what kinda unit opens the goodie hut. When you open a goodie hut at the start with a worker or settler (because they're the only units you have at the start), it never yields barbs... That's why I got the idea....

Our punch should come with the Riders. As stated before game, we would just have to see we would be able to get through the first age without taking damage. An archer rush is an agressive "punch before they punch you". With some good diplo we might not have to spend resources on that. We can postpone this decision a little bit...

I'm off to bed btw... I'll be able to play the turn within 12 hours, but if the night shift decides to play the turn I'm ok with it too. Still curious on the answer to my question on worker popping a hut.

Suffering from ads?

AFAIK it's not dependent on what type of unit pops the hut, just whether or not you have a military unit. You can pop all the huts you want in the early game with no units, but once you have your first one then it's no longer an option. I'm not 100% positive, but that's what I've heard and seen, though I've never set out to test that specific option.

The only caveat to that is that building a city or increasing the radius of a city does not cause barbs to pop out.

Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

BTW, I've been working on the sim file for this game, but I've run into a snag getting the corruption to align. I suspect I know what the problem is though...this game is on a small map correct? I forgot about that and did my sim on a standard map.

I'll try and fix it up this week and finally get it posted so we can work on 10 turn blocks of turn orders before actually doing the turn.
