Unfortuneately they are kinda correct about some things...the teaching of private lessons is rampant. Ooo terrible!
They do have a point about fake degrees though. I saw several examples of that.

The sex stuff is ridiculous though. Foreigners are not seducing young girls and abusing them.

This will make the lives of waygookeem (foreigners) in Korea a little less pleasant for a while since it tars everyone with the same brush and exaggerates the situation.

I like the body of the avatar of the second poster. Nice. Probably a boob job (yeah it would be racist of me to believe Koreans women couldn't have breasts that large ). The face is alright, but the body is the real gem.

You'd be surprised. The modern generation has a lot more dairy and beef in their diet so their bodies tend to look more 'Western'.

Yeah this has been all over the TV and stuff, englishspectrum.com has been shut down etc.

As far as the sex stuff, I wouldn't put that past some of the people that I've met. I think Mike the Liar (think I told you about him) was hitting on some of the older elementary students before he was fired (took a day and a half). In fact, I wouldn't be surprised at all if this whole scandal was Mike's fault.

Irresponsible journalism. But the problem is that these countries will hire just about anyone without a thorough background check (afterall, they hired me, but I'm just lazy ). Besides, if it is so easy for foreigners to behave this way, then clearly there is a reason that they are drawing these freaks. However, its the foreigners who do their job and live normal productive lives who will suffer. There is enough racism in these countries than to have media or government sponsered racism added to that.

There have been incidents here in China where young Chinese men got together to fight (they always get together to fight ) to foreigners who date Chinese women. Black people usually have the hardest time.

As I understand it, plastic surgery of all types is relatively quite popular in Korea compared to the US (maybe not compared to LV, though). Not that I haven't seen Koreans with big breasts that appear natural, but...

She probably has a lot more done to her than a boob job.

Her breasts aren't unusually large for her frame. Some sort of magic bra does the job there. It's all a matter of contrast.

what did you think of windstruck, if you've seen it? i kinda liked the first half, the second half was mediocre, and came dangerously close to beating to death the wind stuff...

Hey Boshko one reason you'd be considered attractive is your nose. Its not large by Western standards but I found Asians find a well defined conker sexy.

Since everyone's talking about Korea, I thought I'd throw in my 2 months of observations.

I've heard that there were incidents of most of what they talk about - so the kernel of truth is there but the media sensationalized the topic by generalizing it.

I heard that it's popular to get the eyes done and to get dimples.

Now that I've been here for awhile I was wondering if there was anything or place I needed to check out. I'm in Ansan which is at the end of the subway 4 line and I've been to Seoul once. I went to Itaewon and Anguk (I think it's Anguk, it's an art district near the Blue House).
