I know there is no lack of great ideas for scenarios in the Civ 2 community, but I was wondering if any of you have ideas for scenarios that you would like to see made.
Here are a few ideas:
1) A scenario based on the Korean War (1950-53).
2) A scenario based on the Russo-Japanese War of 1905. Great surface fleet action.
3) I just finished watching the Terminator trilogy (not a bad story along with great sfx). So I thought a scenario based on this idea: some of the civs could be "Terminators" (a series of them); Machines; Humans; etc... The cities could be semi-destroyed with the landscape being in rubble/grey/barren, etc...
Any other ideas for scenarios?

Götterdämmerung! The previous scenario under this name(I unfortunately do not recall the author :idiot was very fun to play. However, What I think would be a great challenge(and great fun) would be a scenario in which you played as Germany, circa June of either '44 or '45.
Field Marshal Klesh had started, and to my knowledge never completed, a scenario like I have in mind. While I would love it if he finished it(hint, hint!), a scenario in the similar vein would be excellent.
Of course, if you are tired of World War Two scenarios(Nie!), then perhaps one set during the Bakumatsu period? Either playing as the Ishin Shishi or a group such as the Shinsengumi would be a blast, with the latter group being of exceptional challenge.
Well, that's my two bits.(Never knew two bits could go so far, eh?)

I've got an idea for a scenario that spawned out of my Earth scenario.
This is set on a gigamap of the Earth. All capital cities are placed, along with several secondary cities if possible. Then these are all given to barbarians, and as a civilization they are called The Civilians, and they are given fairly low level units to use, primarily immobile guard units for defense only.
The players get to choose between six Evil Organizations: the Mafia (powerful in E.U.), the Yakuza (powerful in Japan), Shadowlaw (off the coast of Thailand - from the Street Fighter games), Virtucon (headed by Dr. Evil and Mr. Number Two), and Microsoft (no explanation needed). These organizations try their best to upset the flow of commerce and general wealth and invade the Civilian cities.
They do so using different techniques. Mafia will have trade units and some good ground units. Yakuza will have sea units and trade units. Shadowlaw, being island based, will be almost entirely sea and air. Microsoft might be able to field only a weak dispensible cheap land unit - the corporate salesman - and send those in droves against cities. Virtucon may be completely unable to build anything except static defense - and they start off with a few offensive units and have to paradrop into Kreblakistan to capture nuclear missiles whilst holding the world ransom, gaining more units through events as their prestige builds and the world takes their leader seriously.
Research will open up new trade commodities (as per Civ2's usual trade rules) and can allow for several tiers of unit powers. However, the Civilians also have a deadly power: they research techs and can easily outbuild you unless you are aggressive and strategic in drawing a frontier. It's a race against other Evil Organizations to see who can achieve a tactical supremacy of Goldeneye Attack Satellites, Moon Lasers, Nuclear Warheads, Psionic Squids, and Windows Longhorn OS to wipe out the opposition.

I've been wrestling with the earliest period of European history. The transitions and developments of the upper paleolithic, the mesolithic adjustment, the neolithic agricultural revolution, and finally top it off with the urnfield expansion.
The sticky issue at start is who the beginning players will be.
The division of the various European races is, itself controversial. Incomprehensibly, the American anthropological mainstream seems to be of the opinion that the entire concept of race is "socially-constructed," and therefore, doesn't really exist.
The forensic anthropologists say just the opposite, and they can identify "race" 99 % of the time. Odd, since it doesn't exist. And the data is admissible in courts of law too. (can you feel my eyes rolling?)
So I just wanna make a game, and suddenly find myself in the no-man's-land between the two entrenchments of the culture war. No one can agree on anything about European prehistory. It seems to be an explosive battleground between competing (even feuding!) camps. UP TO the upper paleolithic, everything is peachy, and there is general consensus. After that, hoo boy! It's like walking into a damn minefield.
Sometimes, living in America is absurd. Like bizzarro world.

I don't mind WWII scenarios provided they take a different approach to the war, such as:
1) A scenario based on various battles, such the Battle of Stalingrad (love to see a scenario on this), Norway, etc....
2) A battle where the Germans are fighting for their lives (such as a scenario based in late '44 to '45).
3) Or, if the scenario is based in the Pacific - there are so few of these. Patine is currently working on one right now.
4) It would also be interesting to have a Pacific scenario based in the south Pacific with a map and time period similar to that of Matrix's Uncommon Valor. Have a really tough, desperate fight for Guadalcanal on the island, in the air, and at sea...

I agree with Heresson there are already LOTS of ww2 scenarios, and I think that's a fact (not negative, just a FACT)
But a new scenario is always something potentially good for the community of players... of course, the more original, the better for most of people, exactly because some eras/themes/wars are already enough 'covered'...
However, I think that some 'sectorial' ww2 scenarios can have their own originality, and could be appreciated by... Heresson too
In this sense, I proposed Kreta 1941, never covered!
Alternative: empire-bulding scenario.
There are many periods covered by scenarios very old, or not sublime' , or good but 'coverable' by other perspective or point of view...
IMHO, of course
Finally, I'll reveal you THE secret: with his posts, Heresson is only trying to hide his deep and uncofessable desire...
...the theater: a badly water-based map....
...the scenario title: "The Rise of FROGS" !!!
