	Extra city names Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

Is there any sort of mod available for Conquest that increases the number of names for the cities?

It annoys me to no end that when you play on huge maps you quickly run out of city names and have to think of something yourself.

and while it is a bit fun in a communist sort of way in having cities named '1' '2' and '3' it would be so much more fun if they had actual names....

You can add new City names to the list of city names in the editor. It lists all city names for all civs.

Here you go. A while back I took one of the extended city names lists from either here or CFC and dumped the names into the conquests.biq file. Backup your current one, then just drop this one in the folder and your new city names will show up every time you start a new game3 the regular way.

For me it is funnier to create new names when the game runs out of city names. Plus some civs, like the Aztecs, didn't have that many city names historically.

Yes it is fun. You can come up with names like Tzunpaltinam, Roxicalco, and Mactipec.

And with the Romans its endless: Bervorum, Alexinium, etc.

ahh indeed.. the joy of looking at a city, then doing the old american indian trick of naming the city after what you see next outside... "two birds flapping" "monster on tv" "law without order" "elf dances on snow".. yeah creating names can be fun
