yeah that's the idea.. because of the strict dress code rules, it feels almost criminally fun to be doing it, even encouraged. And no one gets punished, naturally.
However, I should mention that this tradition didn't happen in my unit, because it was a.. 'edustusyksikkö', so we had nothing like that happening even though we wanted to. No one was allowed to leave the upper most button open in the last day even, so it was kind of stupid. Not to mention we carried out the OLDER tradition of cleaning up the unit 3 times a day, every day, until the last day, no excuses. Supposedly visitors could come any day, without noticing, so everything had to be proper all the time, meaning even when I was sgt myself, the life of a private continued for all of us in sense of following the rules and everything that comes with it. This doesn't mean I was civilized inside closed doors
