Erm, I have a hard time believing that. I personally think gays probably pioneered the internet sex hookup. The reason for that is that is, in general, harder for gay men to meet each other. In most places, the gay bar scene isn't great for hooking up, and that takes time/costs more money. Online, guys can quickly find someone they are interested in who is close to them. Also, many of the gays who do this are very interested in discretion, since many are still closeted. So anonymous sex hookups via the internet are "ideal" for them.

Boris, Aha! I knew someone would bring that point up. I have no facts or evidence on this, but I am ready to believe lots of gay people use the internet for meeting and getting to know purposes a lot. Makes sense. But also straight people do too. Why am I saying it's very much comparable, if not higher than with gay people? Because nerds have difficult time getting date too . You notice how every service is FULL of male seeking women? So I believe straight people have a massive amount of online action seekers too. The amount of straight people greatly outnumbers the gay community, and these days everyone uses the internet . SO.. that's why I said it.

It was more to counter the claim of gay people logging on and searching for sex, since straight people do that A LOT too, so it's not a .. sign that makes gay people any different from that.

Let's face it. In general it's a bit harder to get a girl into bed than a guy. Girls have a little something called pregnancy to worry about. In my experience a large number of girls don't start taking precautions until they get into a relationship, ergo, when you chance upon an uncommitted babe during your rounds there's a good chance she won't be on the pill or the depo shot. Unless you have sufficient animal magnetism to completely distract her thoughts and if at some point during your encounter her thoughts happen to stray upon the possibility of having sex with you, she's likely to also consider the risk of pregnancy. Face it guys, are you worth someone having to take a trip to a clinic, lie down naked on an uncomfortable exam table, spread her legs in front of some masked guy, and have him poke a metal rod up her private parts?!

Women do, and they attend them all the time.

Lesbians are probably the least likely of any group to attend sex parties, and they don't have to fear getting pregnant and they are at the smallest risk for HIV transmission.
