Seriously, what's wrong with abstaining? If you have absolutely no clue what's going on, it's certainly no worse (though probably no better) than voting. Actually, my abstaining is evidence against me being in the mafia: if I were, why would I call attention to myself by abstaining; it'd be much easier to remain unnoticed and join a docpile.

But using reason to defend myself has proven rather pointless in the past, so I'll shut up now.

My point is just that the "day" portion of the game is based on voting, and in the early rounds especially, none of us really has a "clue what's going on" so our guesses are really no more then random. But if we all didn't vote because we had no idea, the game would die (as it depends on the votes).

My point was more that you voted, if you want to abstain, just don't bold anyones name. You called attention to yourself by abstaining, and attention of any kind seems a bad thing in Mafia

As I said - you abstain by not voting. Of course, most people can't abstain, as that would mean the vote takes too long, but I will process the votes as soon as a guaranteed plurality/majority is reached.
