	I had a damn heart attack!!!!! Tired of ads?

Yep,
no sh!t my first day home from the hospital from having a heart attack.

Any other veterans here?


I am ok, I think?

My heart Doc said it was only one small artery in the postterrior right ventrical.
All the others are ok.
I was not expecting this for another ten years.


Tell ya what?

I will not have another one.
Felt like a damn freight train on my chest.
One is enough fur me.

I haven't and up until a year ago, there was no history of heart attacks in my family. Last April my uncle died of complications from his first heart attack... true he was 87.

None the less, I have made a point of eating less red meat & swimming almost every day.

Take it easy and follow your doctors advice.

My gandfather (mother's side) died from heart troubles at a fairly young age (69) while my father's mother also died of heart trouble but she lived a long healthy life (91).

Yep my lil girl, that look of terror on her face before I hit the floor and passed out is a face I never want to see on her again.

I did smoke but quit the day of my MI.

Last 8 years been getting less and less excersise and gaining weight.
I do eat the right foods tho.
NO fried anything.
NO PORK!!!!!!!!
Hi carb,low fat.

Lets not forget the most important cause of heart problems......genetics.

Genetics, eek! My maternal grandfather died at the age of 56, my paternal grandfather died at 63, my dad is high risk and because I'm heavily built, I will be to. I'm so ****ed!

I have the experience of being alone at the start of the crisis. I called the 15 (equivalent of 911) and they arrived a few minutes before I collapsed. The second time, my gf made the call, and it was morally more comfortable not to be alone; but they arrived again a few minutes before I would have collapsed anyway

The most important thing is to be closely controled when the crisis is considered ended. Particularly exams such as echography must be made regularly. It is one of them which shew that I needed an immediate surgery which saved my life (against prevailing odds, to be honest ).

With family histories, age, lack of exercise, and obesity converging upon me, I decided a couple years ago to get a full cardio work up. I got the verdict that is was diqusting and unfari for a fat lazy slob to have such good cardio-vascular health.
