I was thinking about this was I listened to that pompous air bag, rush limbaugh on the radio...... this is meant for Americans but anyone else can answer as well I suppose..... what better place to do a small case study then apolyton? I wonder if there is a corelation between what people see as the biggest and most important threat in their lives, and their political affiliation?

The biggest threat (in America) is from the breakdown of honest political discourse. If we don't start trying to actually solve our problems instead of looking for ways to blame them on "traitors" or "fanatics" on the other side of the fence, our country is doomed regardless of whatever other problems we might have.

So you might say the biggest threat is Rush Limbaugh. And Michael Moore, just to be fair, and Coulter, and LaRouche, and whatever other nuts are yakking at the moment.

And I'm a moderate who would be a Democrat if they weren't A. pro-choice and B. hopelessly incompetent screw-ups. As it is, I vote for the Democrats grudgingly for lack of a better option. I'm registered Democrat, but only so I can vote in primaries and make a token effort to keep them from putting rejects like Kerry on the ballot again.

I assume this means threat to the U.S.?

There is no direct threat to the U.S. It will die a slow death. But I voted for individuals, because the erosion of our status will come from the lack of skills and intelligence from the citizens within, not from the goverment, or terrorist and crap like that.
