	Disciples II Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Has anybody played this?

I have been playing it the last couple of weeks, since it's a part of Stardock's Totalgaming.net service, of which I am a subscriber (because of GalCiv).

I kinda like it. It is a nice mix of TBS and RPG, with emphasis on the latter. I borrows heavily from HOMM, but that is okay, since I like HOMM. All in all a great game, that I feel like I got for free, since I joined TG.net only for GalCiv.

Yes, I have played and enjoyed the game.

Currently, if anyone wants to get the game they should get the Disciples II Gold Edition (which has the original game plus all three expansions).

Yeah. That's right. Luckily the release on TG.net includes the expansions, so I'm covered

Tub: That one of the reasons why I like it so much. I allows for greater replay value.

Some of those creatures get pretty powerful on the higher levels

Unfortunatly if you happen to loose Units it is almost impossible to get the Replacement to an appropriate Rank

[Most Map Layouts feature weaker Enemies arround your Castle and harder Enemies as you progress. New Units face stiff chances]

Nevertheless a Nice Game :=)

But unless all units including the hero die, you can always travel back to a city and revive them

You do not have to travel back to a castle, if you have the potion to raise the dead. Never leave home without some.

I found the game entertaining but it's getting repetitive fast in my opinion, because all scenarios always amount to the same thing. Even though various units and races are different, I always get the feeling of doing the same things. Some paths are also pretty useless in my opinion. Why would one pick the mage that summons air elementals (or are they dinns or what?) for instance instead of a mage that strikes opponents? You have to have one unused slot in your army for the mage to be useful, and he acts last, so the summoned creature doesn't start fighting before the second turn, and if the mage dies, it goes away too...
