I'm getting spam emails from myself Support Apolyton buy from Amazon



How is that happening? The sender email address is the same as my email address. How is this done? And should I be concerned?

Formatting C is useless.

Spammers regularly usurp your adress, as they send their crap from their computers, but mask their real adresses with "innocent" ones such as yours. Your computer has nothing to do with it.

Last year, on a visit to my gf, my computer remained offline for 10 days. "I" still sent spam during this time (mailer daemons told me twice that the mail "I" had sent bounced off)

Well, for some time, I believed my computer had something to do with it, until I saw emails bouncing while my computer was disconnected for a long period of time.

This thing is most likely not a virus, but some tricksy trickery perpetrated at another computer irate:
