I think you're just reacting to the personalness of it. It seems brutal because it's so primitive, but getting hit in the head hard enough to crush your skull is just as humane in my opinion as being shot or bled.

I am not just reacting to the personalness of it. I think that having lots of people kill ( who they kill is important, but only to a degree, in this case) will affect them in a negative manner, and thus, I'd prefer an alternative method, that would involve much less human interaction:

- less people doing the killing.
- less press reviewing these, by all accounts unpleasant, sights.
- hopefully, less suffering to animals, too.


The fact that you're killing creatures is disturbing to my moral conscience, but it's not disturbing my ethical calculation one bit.
