The pres has spoken and essentially asked for a reform in laws so that if there is doubt, we err on the side of life.

The Vatican issue a sharp denunciation, saying this was an attack on God because it was an attack on life, and God is the author of life.

The body has to want to die. People don't always feel hunger when their time is up.

But when the person is not conscious or unable to communicate, it is impossible to know whether they are "ready" or not.

The report I heard said the siblings were denied and that the parents arrived too late (they were not denied).

I don't know so much about the starvation angle, but it is said that dying of dehydration is pure agony. You know I have read in these many threads about the husband being slandered but what of the parents were they not just as slandered. It was written they only wanted her alive to get some money of the settlement. I am sorry keepin the parents from her last breaths is just plain fuc**** wrong.
