More on the bone scan.
Pat Anderson, the attorney who took the doctors' deposition about the bone scan, relayed the following:
The bone scan was taken on March 5, 1991 because Terri was saying, "No" and "Stop" to physical therapy. The doctor discovers that Terry had healing bones from multiple traumas, including two broken ankles, both knees, her right femur, her pelvis, her back and her upper spin. The attorney asked the doctor whether these injuries could have occurred during therapy. He said no.
The bone scan would reveal trauma that occurred no more than 12-18 months prior. That places the trauma at about the time of the event, which occurred 53 weeks earlier, to about 6 months earlier. The doctor stated that the trauma had not occurred recently.
Since Terry had no injuries prior to the event, and the injuries could not have taken place during therapy, that places the time of the injuries squarely on the day of the event.
Terri was either run over by a truck or was severely beaten.

Only pure evil incarnate would order the parents and siblings out of a room where their child/sibling lay on the verge of death, and resist religious rights before hand as well.
And I don't want to hear how last rights and communion were given before the tube was removed. If the parents want it again, you DO IT.
If the parents find comfort in patting water over the lips of their dying daughter, (whether it helps or not), then you let them do it...you don't have to understand it, you just allow them their comfort....UNLESS YOU ARE EVIL....as he is.
And, after the deed was done, only pure evil incarnate would order the cremated body buried in a secret location where the parents are barred. (that's breaking news)
How can any decent human use his court given power to order the parents of a dead child to stay away from their child both before and after their death?
You can say you think she should have been allowed to die, that is fine, but I think the human race has a big problem if we ALL can't agree that michael schiavo's actions with regards to the parents and family are anything less than evil and sadistic.

I don't know about that, but the Schindler family has spent the last 7 years waging a scorched earth battle against Michael Schiavo in which they didn't hesitate to use any scurrilous charge, no matter how low. He's had to endure them accusing him of being a liar, out only for money, a wife abuser, and a "murderer." I've no doubt he hates them quite fervently, as they hate him.
I 'm not sure I would let such people that I hated (and who had just needed to be restrained by police) be in the same room as I spent the last moments of my S.O.'s life at his bedside. I can't blame Schiavo for doing it that way.

Asked about perhaps never knowing where his sister might be buried, Bobby Schindler said, "We've already said goodbye. ... He's been doing this kind of stuff for 15 years. What would make him stop now?"
As he monitored TV news reports from the kitchen of his small house in the Philadelphia suburbs, Scott Schiavo received a stream of calls Thursday from people denouncing him and his brother. On his answering machine was a lengthy message from a man from Texas who, shouting obscenities, called the Schiavo family murderers.
"This isn't over by a long shot. We're going to get our name right," he said. "The world is going to know who Mike was, they're going to know Mike wasn't a beast. ... We're going to clear his name, and point it right back at the Schindlers, to let people know just who Bob Schindler is, what type of person he is."
Police made visits Thursday to both Scott Schiavo's home and the home of his brother, William, in Philadelphia, as a result of threats to the families.
At Terri Schiavo's alma mater, Archbishop Wood High School in Warminster, workers changed a sign that read "Terri Schiavo, Class of 1981, We pray that you may live" to "We pray that you rest in peace." |

The receptors for pain are still there, but the ability to process that neurochemical stimulus into what we recognize as pain is not.
The autopsy results should be interesting, because they'll once and for all prove (not that some people would believe anything anyway) the degree of damage to her cortex.
I think it's interesting that given the old pre-injury photos, video, etc. of who she was, vs. the post injury stuff, how people really qualify that "life" (i.e. cellular life, with the self awareness of a lobster) as worth holding on to and forcibly sustaining. It would be interesting if someone could have presented the last 15 years of her existence to the living, thinking, functioning version of her, and asked "do you want to be sustained through decades of this?"
