I used to feel like the odd man out, being seemingly the only gaijin in Japan who hadn't seen the film. I wish I could return to that state now. What a shitty movie...

I haven't seen that one yet.

7 Samurai was so-so. I had more of an appreciation for it than it had entertainment value.

Hidden Fortess was really good though I thought.

Duh, Battle Royale is a great comedy as all Takeshi movies are!
The pot lid scene is among the best movie jokes in history!

Just don´t watch the movie as if it was some docusoap. It´s meant to be a black comedy. Just look at "Takeshi´s castle" and draw comparisons
