...and I don't respect passive-aggressive internet intellectuals who use two-bit internet blogs as sources. I'll look into this type of stuff further, and it'll do much to change my opinion if true. I'm basing my opinions on things that I have read and seen over the past 6 or 7 years. I've heard him vilify Nazis and such many times. I've never seen any hint of Holocaust denial.

And there's nothing passive about my aggressiveness. |
I wasn't aware of that crack-pot Treblinka article. That's pretty indefensible, I'll admit, and it does lower my opinion of him. Anti-semitism charges make more sense when there's that to back them up, and that article seems to provide the main basis in the anti-semitism charges. I spoke to him in October when he visited campus; I wish that I had known about that because I would have asked him about it. It would have been interesting to see if he'd recant.
However, much of the anti-Israeli stuff that he's quoted as saying makes sense when you view it as intended and in context, as reference to neo-conservativism and the US' unqualified support for Israel rather than old-fashioned anti-semitism. (EDIT FOR CLARITY: the quotations that I am talking about are quotations I found doing a Goole search for Buchanan and Holocaust Denial, not quotations in this article)As people have pointed out on here ad naseum, opposing American support for Zionism doesn't equate to anti-semitism.
Again, that Treblinka article is shameful, and he deserves to be taken to task for it (it's probably why I've never seen him mention it), but even it did not say anything about denying the total Holocaust. It is 15 years old (I would have been 8 when it was written, which explains why I didn't know about it). Maybe he's grown milder as he's aged, because I've never seen him say or write anything as blatantly anti-semetic as that article.
