You want to see amazing satellite coverage of a city? Try the city of Reno's website. Through an agreement with Autodesk, the company that makes AutoCAD, Reno provides an incredible online map service of the Reno/Sparks/Lake Tahoe area. If only more cities would do this...

Where I live:




A couple of the major mining areas are circled, north of which are the badlands. The yellow dot is where I live:

What looks to be a river leaving the mining area:

I have no idea what this is, but that golden stream leads directly to the red lake in the previous image.

All of the maps I've posted in this thread are based on satellite photos taken either in 2000 of 2002. The road I take to get to my second job Friday through Monday doesn't exist yet, nor does my workplace...
