Ive considered the possibilty of brain injury and decided that I have enough brain to spare. This is another reason I have decided on middle weight instead of heavy weight.

Don't you have any sports clubs at all in Barrow?

Actually, it might be that you're too late, AFAIK, they start kinda early.

But better ask in a boxing club. Just go to a big city. Take a bus to Anchorage, or something.

Joining a boxing gym is obviously the best way. Atleast try it before decideing that the 'life of damaging my brain' is for you.
And it helps if you dont mind getting hit - i had a physical life as a kid(fights at school all the time), falling out of trees, playing contact sports etc. That made it easier when people wanted to punch my head

Try it first before setting your mind on it - you might not like it? And the training is hard, but its where your fights can be won or lost.

I only had two real bouts at ametuer level, i enjoyed it but it wasn't what i wanted to carry on doing. I was more interested in the training and if i'd have the balls to get in the ring.

Still you might just decide the fitness and sparring is as far as you want to take it, which is fine, you'll be in great shape
