Holy ****! I used to live in Santa Barbara and Stanta Maria is an hour's drive further north while El Centro is in Imperial County east of San Diego. We're talking about a five hour drive each way. I've periodically gone out to El Centro/Mexicali/Calexico area to ride ATVs and dune buggies but I can't figure out what line of work would lead a man there unless it was selling sand or dealing with those deep desert farmers who live off of government subsidies & water the government transports for the Colorado river. There just isn't anything out there.
