i grew up in a house where my dad was away on business A HELL OF A LOT. first it was places in the US, then overseas, then places in the US again. He did it for the money but he is terrible with money so i never saw a net effect of his work, only the downsides.
god as my witness im going to be there for my kid when my kid needs it the most.

Not too sure what that last sentence meant, MRT, but let's not forget that it is the career that's keeping me away from Sophie. If I were unemployed, I'd have all the time in the world to take care of her.
However, I am providing for her, even when I'm down here. Sophie has a wonderful, loving mother who is there for her 24/7. Her Godparents (Aunt and Uncle) are both doctors, one a GP the other a gastroentro... ist (stomach and pipes) and live but 5 miles away. And Knoxville is home to no less than 5 regional hospitals with 2,600 beds (more than twice per capita than, say, Los Angeles County).
So she's got her mom with her 24/7, a strong extended family support system, and a strong local medical system. Sophie is going to be just fine.
Anyway, I'll be back today... probably by 3:00pm this afternoon, so the entire point will be moot.

I'm sorry, I have to say this. There's no such word as "vomitous". Sophie might haver been vomiting. The stuff she vomits is called vomitus.
