	Swat4 Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

This is a pretty decent game actually

minimum specs for a system are

1 gig processor
256 ram
2 gig free hd space
radeon 8500 or above equivalent graphics 64 bit

direct 9x

recommended

2.4+ processor
radeon 9500 128 bit graphics

very decent mp so far

ai is pretty decent on low and mid level

I like the easy of ordering I have mine set up to right click mouse and hold over what I want the team to do

the team will also tell ya if you in wrong position

I'm playing this... haven't tried MP, but may later, am doing SP now and it's definitely good. I'm generally not a fan of MP in FPS games, though, but the SP is damn worth it.

The only gripe I have is the fact that you can shoot a perp twice in the arm or in the leg and they are still able to run away or shoot you between the eyes. I'd expect all but the most drug frenzied suspects to drop their weapon if I place two rounds through the arm holding it. Of course, if I fire a third time, they usually drop down and die.

(default is PAGE UP)

lets you focus on suspects to pop from afar!)

I really like the mission maker as well

unlike oprevious versions where you actually "Placed" tangos/terrorists this will do it for you and they wont be the same place

I been doing a team (5 members) and 30 tangos on hard

very pleased so far

they may have body armor on

also I like the realistic position, as a former Federal Officer as well as MP sometime when you get excited, dont control breathing ya have shot not going exactly where they should

plus the 9mm is ok on JHP(Jacket hollo point) but it aint a full metal jacket to rip a new @r$e in a tango

You can't shoot suspects dead with the sniper though, or it'll be "unauthorized use of deadly force". I try to aim for the legs to "soften" them up.

This has happened enough times to convince me that I have hit but it has had no effect. *shrug* Perps usually take three rounds to kill them anyway, it just seems there's only two hit areas on targets, "head" (one shot kills) and "body" (three shots kill).

My bad I saw a gun they turned it "LOOKED" like they wanted to raise it so I did a little double tap

In the North Hollywood shootout the body armore as depicted in the above shot took a lot of hits

some of these perps in the game seem to have more than a vest on

just sharing is all

maybe as you said earlier Kassiopeia they had a PCP party and are ready for us?

I like the head shot anyway that way only one "eyewitness" to the account...

I'm in the hospital, the one littered with dead civilians. A "suspect" in full combat gear and an assault rifle runs at me. If I shout "Freeze!", he will shoot me. If I shoot him with the LL shotgun, he will shoot me. If I shoot him with the taser, he won't budge and will shoot me as I switch weapons.

If I shoot him first, it's "unauthorized use of deadly force". WTF?

are you lone wolf or with members?

I say this because maybe having a sting grenade or "bang" him with a flashbang to disorient him then try cuffing him or tasing or bean bagging him?

Thinking of real life applications and in particular the "shoot-dont shoot" course I went through as a Federal Officer sometimes it takes a combination..

try them as a suggestion..

shame you can butt stroke with the end of your weapon..

you know kinda like "encouraging him" to comply

In the open spaces in the medical centre, CS and stingers are somewhat useless since the clouds tend to concentrate on the entrance, and not have effect far away. And yes, I tasered and beanbagged one perp repeatedly while yelling "Put it down!" (my entire team had been incapacitated at this point), but he kept firing and I kept dodging. I didn't have any lethal weaponry on me at that time, so I got killed.

re-reading this if he is firing then yes you are allowed lethal force

however the perp must initiate hostile actions prior to you be green lighted

Moron Liberal Law makers and moron law men both overstepping boundaries

Lawyers for claiming too many rights

and some cops for overstepping lethal force

But, in the real world a person must initiate instead of you as a lawman simply unloading on them

I know its a bad situation thats why we have games for those of us whom are no longer on the line

and for those whom wish to see a glimpse of how tough it can be to make a split second call

Well, I tend to consideri this an issue of game balance rather than a profound sociopolitical one. It hampers gameplay, that's the beef I have. I'd rather not turn this into a discussion on the issues you mentioned, that's for the OT. The very nature of the gaming medium and its limitations mean applying realism in that degree is not necessarily the best possible recourse.

Ok I mean I dont mind talking about it as it is actually my thread and well it is most probably a game issue

I am playing on normal a scenario I made me and my team vs 30 normal aggression terrorists and I have gotten about 16 of the 30 taken care of before dieying.

The "best" I could do with a few rooms that were wide open was 3 arrests and 13 killed plus me and team.

I am in the Granite Hotel made a scenario of bringing order to chaos in other words take care of the bad guys

Not enough stingers,gas and flashbangs to stun everyone into submission ya know

I will keep trying maybe I am just overly optimistic about 30 bad guys versus me and my team
