	Colonization in VIP (v.4B) Support Apolyton

Playing Spain. What are the requirements for colonization in VIP? I've got the funds and resources, but I'm told, "Impossible."

I'm not completely sure - it's been a while since I played. But Ii think you need to wait untill a certain date for it to become possible. I know they put in some mechanism to slow down the rapid colonization that usually takes place.

Indeed, you have to wait. VIP places self-imposed colonial bans on all colonial nations to prevent early colonizations.

If you go into the diplomacy view and click on your nation, you can see when the bans for each continent end for your nation in the list of active treaties.

Yep, while looking in there, I did notice no colonization until 1879.

The date varies thugh, both for the indivitual countries and for the different continents.
