War Turn VII Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

What to do? That's what I'm asking. Here's the shot of the situation. MAST has taken the chokepoint, and our stack has gone unassaulted. That implies to me that LL is pooling their forces. Now, the main question is, do we move the slow stack into their territory, on the hill, or hold position? The Rider Reinforcements can be moved forward, and the injured ones can either fall back to the new city of Pork Bun, or hold position and rest (thanks to out MAST RoP). What do you think?

Got spare money?

Hmm, let me think about it for a bit.

I'm partial to using the speed of Riders/Cavalry units, etc. to do things the other doesn't expect. For example my defeat of Beta in the AU601 game came because he expected me to attack his defensive stack. I didn't. I completely went around it, exposing my cavalry to attacks as well, but I used his own roads, a combat settler, and a captured city to get deep into his territory within one turn. At the end of my maneuver I was able to menace four of his nearly or completely undefended cities, with the ability to destroy his capital the turn after. Beta realized that and conceded.

As to the slow stack, I recommend moving onto the hill. They're unlikely to attack the stack without heavy losses and we're that much farther into their territory.

Actually, to really put some fear into them, we could assemble the slow stack AND the riders on the hill. That's be quite a sight! We could also bring a settler up to build a fort city on the hill, but that might be a bit of overkill.
