Having no capital I tried to gain democracy in the game tonight, only succeeded in having Finbar attacking me, the dips have only bought me more trouble

Hi Sneak.
I won't be in Korea until the end of August.
Knocked Trev out of the game last night. My army was about to take one of his last major cities. Deity said he didn't want to play on but wouldn't concede defeat to me. I don't think he's beaten but if he wants to stop the game that is what he needs to do - clearly and unambiguously.
Since I've been fighting both of them alone for most of the game I thought that was pretty poor behaviour because I've really been under the gun. My civ was split in 2 by a sneak attack from deity but I've pulled the game out of the fire. Now when I start to get into a winning position people don't want to play on? WTF is that about? I've had to sit through lots of games where I wasn't in contention to win.
Unless things change I don't think these games are worth the time or effort. If I put the effort into something I expect to see it finished.
The best game I ever played was just like this one - hydey pulled out and makeo and I went for it - I lost that game but I didn't care - I had days off work to finish it - how different with this group. It was a game with similar challenges, a really interesting game - which is what this game is now. All 3 surviving players can win. So lets get into it, right? No. Really disappointed right now.
The compromise was the game would be continued at a later date but I'll believe that when I see it. This is the second game in a row where I have deity in a difficult situation which is waiting to be finished, and waiting, and waiting.
Trev's defeat is a turning point and creates a lot of very interesting challenges for all players. I just do not understand why players wouldn't want to play that out after all the hours we've put in - at least until a clear winner emerges and everyone agrees on that.

Stop being a hyprocrite Horse, this game is one you abandoned last month with Atomant and myself well before a result was decided. I wanted to continue it. Yes I decided to give up last night, but only after continuing a game I had been defeated in for a further 30 hours, including the last 5 with no capital and therefore massive corruption. Yet you abandoned a game as soon as you sensed you could not win.

Finbar is in the lead in all aspects of the game except military units with a major population and technology lead, so how could deity fairly concede the game to Horse when Finbar is so far ahead in all other areas of the game.

Unfortunately any autosaves will be overwritten by the new game we played afterwards, so I have no save that I can pass on for the best continuation of the game

The barbs are within one move of a city, so presumably they will take that one, that will be number 7 (at least) the barbs destroyed or captured from me, which is about the same quantity Horse has achieved so far I think. I have never played any game where the barbs have so consistently attacked the cities I have founded before, and it just compounded the effects of horses attacks, particularly seeing I had lost 20% of my military units including all offensive units to the barbs in the turns preceding Horses initial attacks and 3 islands cities to the barbs immediately following Horses attacks.
