I'm happy to play from my save as well, which gives us all the chance to clean up his civ quickly. Rather perversely it probably leads to a fairly even split of Trev's cities between the 3 of us. But we'll all need to move fast and make smart moves.

I love these situations, the stress, the pressure

I'm not looking for advantage here. I just want it to be normal civ, not artificial. I think a sub is actually preferable because Trev's civ should be played out properly under ideal circumstances, although I do understand his position. Anyway, he might decide to play on yet...

Whatever.

I don't think there is any good reason why we shouldn't just play on from where trev retired. This isn't one of those diplo games you love so much, so subs and saves don't come into it. All that is really about is trying to rewrite the play history and tie down my army for a few turns.

Trev was entitled to do it his way and I think he did it with some style, so more power to him. He's done us a favour by setting up a very interesting situation which I'm rather surprised you don't seem to want to play out, being the best Australian civ player and all that.

Games like this don't come along every day. From an inauspicious start its turned into something potentially quite special imo. So stop faffing around and get with the program. Lets have some fun with it.

I have been disappointed the last 2 nights with the lack of available players, but tonight I will disapppoint the others with my absence, tabletennis training will be friendlier and afterwards I need to transport a daughter whose car has broken down. No doubt her company will be friendlier than some from this forum as well.

he he AND the KC is worse!

It's good to have attitude in the game roles; but personal abuse and unfriendly inter-personal communication is really not necessary.

We are here to enjoy.
