Jesus, you'll be totally lost if you take everything women say LITERALLY. They speak more FIGURATIVELY.
She doesn't want to hurt you because she knows that you'd want that, but she doesn't. So she says she doesn't want to hurt you, showing compassion, but nothing more.
It doesn't matter that the choice is based on this reason. I guess for women any reason is as good as another: a NAY is a nay and it doesn't matter what follows it.

I don't want to decide on who sucks more, but just say that those don't trying to understand each other suck most, wether they'd be female or male.

Probably a case by case basis is more correct for evaluating this. There are your Psycho *****es From Hell^(tm), and then your normal people, and there are ****ed up guys as well.
