	Should we build the Great Wall Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

Currently we are building the Great Wall in Apolyton. We will have no use of this wonder. Even more with PAL discovering the Metallurgy it will get obsolete in the moment we have built it. The only purpose of this waste of time and resources is to prevent GWT from building it.

Recently BAT asked us if we are going to build because they want to build it too. Their purpose is exactly the same - to not allow GWT receive free walls before the Great War has started.

We may use the shields to complete cathedral which will help the city grow without the need of entertainers or using the luxury slider.

So, what should we do?

I have forgotten to say besides cathedral we don't have anything useful to build Our troops are still over the limit and we are paying small upkeep.

The education will be completed in approx. 40 turns. Until than we don't have universities which should get after this our top priority.

We could switch to Sistine or Sun Tzu. But Sun Tzu will be more useful for one of our allies because we will continue to be gold donators. Sistine Chapel is maybe an option but it will need 43 turns and will hinder BAT from building Sun Tzu.

We need to think in terms of what is best for Apo-PAL-BAT. The highest priority should be to prevent GWT from building it. Who cares which of us builds it (although it would be most helpful to BAT)?

If BAT truely wants to build it, let them. Personally, I think they'd be MUCH better off with Sun Tzu, but I can't tell them what they should build.

Do we have the tech for Sistine's? If yes, then build that. 6 content faces from a cathedral is great...

Build a cathedral. We have accumulated c.55 shields, so we won't lose any.

the problem is what should we build after the cathedral. We could build only units which is an inaceptable option. We don't need any settlers and the workers should be ready in the next few turns.

No great wall and doesn't that go obsolete when ANYONE gets Mettalurgy? If so when we have offical contact with GWT (if we dont already) it will be obsolete anyway, let em build it, build something we can use, coordinate with our allies.

This is correct.

The problem in this case is that the tech that obsoletes the GW is a prereq for the tech allowing Calvary.
