Summit with Babylon and BOH Got spare money?

This is a summary of what was decided on in the summit ...

First off, we have agreed to ally with Babylon and BOH for the purpose of destroying - not attacking but destroying - Desolation Row.

Babylon has agreed to try and get mathematics from DR for the cost of Polytheism, possibly even earning a few gold from them as well.

They will supply both teams with mathematics, and us with polytheism, in exchange for horseback riding and mapmaking.

They will begin working on a force to be ready hopefully in 6-8 turns to attack DR in our second wave; we expect a second wave to be ready to start then as well. They may have difficulty with LB being between them and parts of DR, but they will deal with that.

BOH is going to sit back and hold a reserve force in case of need against DR. They also will continue prosecuting the war on AM. We don't want them at war with DR at the current time, openly, as that may bring LB into the war on the opposite side.

BOH is not going to tell babylon much at the moment of their war with AM, because they are concerned Babylon is only a short-time ally. They have told us that they will either eliminate AM or nearly so, but don't pass any info on to babylon please.

Finally, we have agreed to open an embassy with AM, at the time of Paddy's choosing, and at their cost, giving them all info gleaned, in exchange for 12gp to make an embassy with DR prior to the start of the war. We will move towards higher GPT for a few turns to earn the rest of the cash for that.

Attached is BOH's map of the area so we have a better understanding of positions. Babs are on the SW side.

Got spare money?

I noted that I had forgotten to post a turn report. Not much had happened in that turn and is now allready old news as Snoop has played last turn and did report it.

However, I will post a map that we have distributed amongst the others.

Having had a closer look at the map Snoop posted I'm getting a bit worried. DR is quite distant from Babylon. I thought LB and Babs were swapped in positions. It seems that BOH is much closer to the Babs. I sincerely hope Babs won't double cross us. I which case our war plans are now being sold to DR.

DR-actions are really mysterious. Sabre, Moon and Aqua are reknown civ players so they must have cooked something up. So far we're playing pretty much what could be expected from us. I worry a little that DR is anticipating our arrival. Noticed the HM on their map? They might just as well have a bunch of them ready to sack our cities just when we have our stack moving (slowly) in no mans land. I'd say we better say a little pray our swordsmen will be finished soon enough.

If they had a bunch, they'd not be weak to us (who have a whopping 5 archers and 3 warriors, i believe). There's no way they have more than 2 or 3 at the very most.

As far as I can recall, being weak to another civ means having 80% or less of their military force. So it's likely they have roughly 1 horse, 1-2 spears and/or 1-2 archers, and 2 warriors.

But don't quote me.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Allrighty. Had to wait all day to be able to post. Had a chat with Paddy this morning. Forgot to save the whole conversation. Might be for the better as it took forever. Chrisius Maximus joined us for a while and was, probably because he's in a hurry, a bit hot headed.

Main concerns BOH is having:
1. Babylon claims territory, which is now AM, without willing to contribute troops to a war with AM. BOH has invited Babylon to take what they want.
2. Babylon has acquired HBR, MM and philo from us. BOH wondered why we have supplied philo as well.
I thought it has been a misunderstandment. It must have been the turn Snoopy played after I sent them an offer of philo and HBR. Snoopy must have accepted the deal that came back. However, in between we've decided on the summit that Babylon would acquire HBR and MM and deliver maths. BOH has settled on that issue, but could you verify this Snoop?

All in all, BOH feels that Babylon is not contributing to the alliance, but is making alot of demands. They're getting quite angry about it. That's been all the fuss. They were even getting worried we weren't on their side anymore. I've explained that we have given our opinion on the BOH-AM war and that's all.
Our only concerns is DR and don't want to be left alone on the battlefield while we expecting to get back-up, because our allies are fighting each other.

Therefore, I have asked BOH to take it easy now. Babylon should be allowed to tell themselves what they are able to contribute and what their requiremnts are apart from what they have allready been given.
I hope Babylon will see their unreasonable balance between the 2. I have also added to BOH that we think the alliance is most important now. We can't end up in a 2 vs the rest of the world situation. However, when AM and DR are out of the equation, BOH doesn't need to explain why they take on Babylon.

I mistakenly sent philo in one turn, then replayed it (that's where the turn of unhappy Nirvana came from i'm guessing) sending only MM and Hbr ... I'm sure about that.

I thought philosophy was coming from elsewhere (AM or LB) in exchange for Polytheism; maybe they're just confused about it?

Your explanation on a 4th party is good enough. If you come to it, leave a note for BOH that we didn't give philo.
