Yup, saw that discovery channel thing in January. Quite a pig that one. I've gone out to woods in Georgia since then though and live to tell the tale. Trust me, there's worse things out there than that pig... There's crazy people.

Hogs are dangerous critters. I read once that more people are killed and eaten by hogs than are struck by lightening.

I have shot several feral hogs, but not the giants or even full adults; they have a strong tendecy to having rank meat. Shoot the before a year old.

Duh! You shoot feral hogs as game animals. You exterminate packs of feral dogs because they are dangerous to humans, livestock, and game animals, and are a strong competative pressure against native predators such as bobcat, panther, coyote, stc.
