Honorary mention (1), Mike Ross, (D South AR) represents my own 4th District, for some good statements:

First off, a quote I can't find about the religious right that earned him a fiery editorial in the Dem Gazette

and the following

about how scalawags of less manly states like Alabama are joining the Republicans.

Honorary mention (2), for Vic Snyder (D Little Rock), for voting against the estate tax elimination, ANWR drilling, and the bankruptcy bill--a threepeat of solid voting that almost makes me wish he represented District 4.

EDIT: Mark Pryor, Democratic Senator from Arkansas, made the remarks about the religious right. No wonder I couldn't find anything about it.

No, I can't stand Limbaugh and have only seen / heard about two of his shows. No Babs comes by my scorn honestly through her own actions as leader of the Wack Caucus. She's stupid, partisan and disingenuous.

Both Boxer and Feinstein have been vocal in saying a man who claims to hate the UN and what it stands for isn't the right man to represent us at the UN. They are well in their rights too because the constitution says the President's ambassadors must be chosen with the advice and consent of the Senate. Republicans seem to want the Congress to rubber stamp everything Bush does but thankfully that is not how a real democracy works.

Sen Bill Frist, who voted FOR judicial filibusters when he was in the minority but now that he is in the majority claims such filibuisters are "a new and destructive practice" which must be banned "to restore constitutional balance."

He continues to remind me of why I left the Republican Party: he is like the rest of the new leadership, and thinks I am as stupid and shortsighted as he is.
