Report 2430bc... Increase Your PM Length

I decided to play it so Paddy could have it, it's a pretty simple turn.

Summary, because it's late ...
* Worker roading to connect the new city
* Settler moved along road towards new spot
* Warrior down in DR area spots some more area. Notice the horseman ...
* Still no activity on the iron (?)
* WF in Nirvana adjusted to gain a faster swordsman; it slows down growth 1 turn, but we'll live, and it's a turn faster swordsman. Next turn, please readjust the forest back to the floodplain.
* The floodplain was given to U2 for a turn, to take advantage of its unuse by Nirvana. It won't hurt swordsman production for a turn; it won't help U2 much either, unless we gain U2 a second turn's use of it, but it might help, and it's an extra trade.
* Lux up 10% (now -1gpt). Nirvana is unhappy otherwise 10t to CoL @ 2/5/3.
* Finished building the stack ...
* Adjusted everyone to having swordsmen.
* Sent Mapmaking and HbR to the Babylonians.

That's all, really. Only BoH has iron connected...

Next turn:
* start roading furs
* settler and its archer head to the hill
* Start moving THE STACK OF DOOM ... ... south/southeast along McM's map.

Thanks for playing the turn.

I wonder if DR is playing differently from what we would expect. They know everyone goes frantic when they connect the iron.
They could be moving a stack our way. Probably not, counting the units we more or less know DR has. They are smart players, I'm sure they've cooked SOMETHING up...

I'm not happy with the FP change. Nirvana was to grow this turn, giving extra production anyway.

Good to hear our iron has been connected.

I'm not all that confident it will go smoothly. With BOH occupied in a war, Babylon much further away than I expected and LB on their side, We're their prime target. I've seen a HM (horseman) in their territory. Those units can sack our entire empire while we wander through nomans land. Furthermore, DR knows that if we strike (most likely with us having Kurt linger around, it'll be at the iron. The suprise must come from the Babs and most of from BOH. Meanwhile we must anticipate a blow in the face from DR. Our defense at home is weak at best. DR HM can be lethal if they're planning offensive moves at the moment. Even worse is when they find our stack, aniliate it with HM and then go for the home lands.
I'm happy to have pushed that settler. Founding a city will at least give them the perceptive that we are concentrating on our expansion, rather then our military.

Raze all but the last city.

Nirvana already grew - that was the issue, sir meadows. They won't grow again for a while, and we don't really want them growing too soon anyways- they're currently our least happy city. This gets a 1 turn faster swordsmen, without a significant hurt (allowing the slowest swordsman to be 1 turn faster, allowing all 3 to be a group faster) ...

As McM says, all but the last city, or perhaps less strongly, raze until we're confident they're dead and have no more military (thus no risk at leaving behind troops), and we're leaving behind a useful city.

In which case, sorry for the unfound complaint. I fully agree Nirvana now has a good size for production.
