Best P2P client software? Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

I haven't been using any P2P software lately though I used to use Kazaa Lite and WinMX. Kazaa had lots of files but often the files weren't what they claimed to be and you couldn't find that out until after you'd downloaded it while WinMx just didn't have enough files to find anything but the most popular files. I know some of you keep your nose to the street so can you tell me which P2P client software out there these days?

However, if you are going to use it, it's best to do a google search for DC++.

Increase Your PM Length

I've always like emule
But lately I've been using Azureus a lot, but since it's a bittorrent client you need to know where to find the files (it's not possible to search within the program)

Get a bigger avatar today!

DC++ is still the best. Doesn't matter if you can't download the same file from multiple users if you can download a 700 MB file in under an hour from one user anyway. Or in 20 minutes if you really get a lucky speed.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Well, DC++ works locally very well. Many people have connections of 4-6 Mbit locally (up and down), which gives me a very good download if I happen to be downloading from then. Otherwise, from people with 1.5 Mbit, it's still great at circa 200 KB/s.

I've got unusual enough music tastes and enough patience to make good old-fashioned Soulseek worthwhile. It's really got everything in terms of music if you're willing to wait for it, with some really dedicated users.

Most people around here have a max upload of 512 kbs
The few people who have higher also have a limit
