Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

I rushed 5 ships around the west coast. These should add to the four there (if not destroyed) to deal with a Monkey flanking movement - and the 2nd army moved north to be more central.

After the battle I accidently moved one remaining LB the wrong way (mouse typo) SW instead of north - but he might be able to join up with the others.

Monkey'sfleet gives them mobility and pest-power for a while, but I think we can handle it.

I may have been wrong not to attack last turn - seeing as maybe 20 units escaped, but we could have lost all our attack and only scratched the surface. Python paid heavily but we were able to finish off easily, and with almost no losses. It might have been better to have destroyed all Monkey's units and many of ours, with Python's army left to defend their territory. However, things might have been worse if we'd attacked first.

Krill, would you be up for taking over as turnplayer?

I've been dong this for what seems like nearly two years now, and would quite like to hand over if possible. Arrian has gone, and FP didn't reply to my PMs unfortunately, so if you fancy taking over and either rebuilding the team or just playing as a PBEM that's be cool

CH, is it possible that I chat with you about any plans that you have? I have a rough idea of what to do from here (possibly even getting ToE and Hoover) but I will need help to do the palace jump...

Tired of ads?

oh, and this is the thread with the palace jump info in. I suggest that we move the entire army to Bodmin Moor...

Yeah, we could try that one evening, if you can set up a room.

The Palace Jump formula is on CFC. I reckon that with the new capital at size 12, there should be enough cities around it to receive the Palace with other cities on size 10, but we'll have to check it.

The city with the most points is the new capital!

A neighbor city must yours, and within 8 tiles walking distance from the target city (a 17x17 square). The old capital does not count as a neighbor.

If there is a tie for the most points, the palace jumps to the first city in the database, which is usually the oldest city. After some old cities have been razed the database gets out of order and it's impossible to tell where the palace will go in a tie.

If we shove enough units in the new capital (it is Bodmin, right?), we do't even have to rush the aquaduct.

Full PM-box? Change here!

putting it in perspective, all we have to do is put the reserve force in the new capital, and disband Izzardia.

If you want to chat, just post the time, and I can meet you on MSN or (preferably) IRC. So long as it is before 23:00 (Parents, don't ya know ...)

The PJ target is Blencathra - the one that's building the aqua with all the mines just built around it.

We might have to delay if Monkey charge their old core with maybe 12-16 units by boat. As things stand our stack could take a while to get back up there, and Python have only about 6LB left. Our 2nd stack needs to be able to move to deal with a Monkey landing, wherever that may come. Ideally we can take out several of their galleys with our own fleet (I rushed 5 last turn and we have a few already). If we could do that and end the war we can PJ safely and Python can start building their 2nd core.

good, I hoped the target was Blencathra. That is another city that can hit 100spt in mob...

I'm afraid it's been tricky this week - with Champs League semi-finals to watch, needing to buy a car, a general election tonight, and a band photo-shoot on saturday. Then I'm on holiday next week (up to the Lake District - hence the need for a car ).

Maybe tomorrow (friday) evening or sometime on sunday?

I can play this one at some point today or tonight I expect - and I'll make some notes on things as I go.

I don't think we can wait till the others are Industrial before building the Great Library. They might pinch it themselves to deny us, but the other thing is that we're running out of things to build in some cities. We could build it in 20 turns in Swindon and probably bag a good few techs. Maybe some beaker-counting and/or diplo is needed to see what other civs have got.

I was planning to build the Great Library next, but in Silesia (adding workers will get it to 20 spt).

I was also going to try and get the Great lighthouse to complete the turn after building the library to kick off the GA.

Swindon was to be the Hoover prebuild, and I was thinking that CoS could be the ToE prebuild. It is only a rough idea, but it would give us about 25 turns to build/rush the basic infrastructure to pulkl this off (primarily we need libraries to make that dash. Unis will also help ofcourse, and those are not going to be that hard to build in some of the cites)

Wow - long term planning! I fear the other continent will be over here to destroy us before that unless we get Iron for rails, but who knows? If Tabemono eat that whole continent they wouldn't need much more for domination.

I played the turn and put some notes in the turn thread. We may be able to discuss whatever we need here. I'm not great at chat as I always want to think and write too much - hence I prefer forum or email discussion but I'll give it a go if needed.
