I've become addicted again Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

http://www.eviltron.com/modules/esp/esp.html

I bought a new Rubik's Cube in Budapest, where I spent my last week. Currently it takes about 1:30 minutes for me to resolve it. But my Cube doesn's run smooth enouth, yet. I think I can do it much faster.

The world record is at 12,1 s. How about you?

back in my day we had the real thing. A hunk of plastic that you used your hands to manipulate.

It was easier to cheat as well. .

In fact, that was the only way I could solve those things when I was a kid. I would disassemble them and then reassemble them in the correct order.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

1:34 is my record. But usually I finish it in about 2:00, give or take 5 seconds.

I never managed to solve it, but I do have a theory why I couldn't:

I've only tried one of them, one that we had back when I was ~5 years old. The one we had was a very cheap one where the colors on each side was just some piece of paper 'glued' on it. Back then I had no idea how to solve it without cheating so I often 'fixed' it by changing a few of the colors of the sides. I never finished it though because a few of those papers couldn't be removed
I doubt it's even solveable anymore

@Adagio:

I similarly sabotaged one at kindergarten. For as long as I was there, nobody figured out it was now unsolvable, despite many kids and personnel repeatedly trying it.

Much easier to just remove the stickers and put them back on again in the right place...

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

Those things were the bane of my life when I was younger - haven't attempted it since I was 8, but that was because I couldn't even get close to solving it

I then resorted to other so called impossible puzzles like box type constructions that coupldnt be opened, something called Newtons Cross (I think) 3D stars that didn't seem to have enough pieces etcetc.

I have just about mastered all these useless pieces of junk, so I think it's about time I reunited myself with my old friend, the Rubix cube. Then again, I may just pretend I find it far too easy so cant be bothered anymore

The chances are 1 out of 12 that your cube is still solvable.

It didn't even take a hammer for me. One day my cube simply exploded in my hands.
Getting a new one was even harder for me than resolving it. It was about 10 years ago. I visited almost any toy shop in Berlin, but none of them had one for sale. So it finally took me a trip to Hungary for getting a new cube.

If you have no idea how to resolve it, just carefully watch, how this girl is doing it. Then it should be no problem anymore.

Awesome!

I think it is. if you look at one of the last frames before she "finishes" she's still at least 2 or 3 twists away from the end, yet after one more move she's supposedly through it. weird.
