It placed me as 'slightly left-of-center', which was a bit strange. I was in the free-market, non-Euroskeptic, non-flogging corner.

Also, it's a bit weird that one axis covers both War on Iraq and economics, and another axis covers Europe, immigration and capital punishment.

It says I'm slightly left of centre and then suggests I should vote UKIP, although I would answer 'No' on all but one of the following questions:

In the seat I am eligible to vote in, it is a marginal Labour seat and very likely to lose to the Tories. In light of this, I may vote Labour just to prevent the Tories getting it

I got -0.1 for Economics...I think the thing is we are trying to answer on how a modern capitalist system should be run...I am starting to develop a bit more of an opinion on this issue - however I still have this burning sensation that the whole organisation is rubbish, but could not be changed by reform...

I was in the top left. Pro-war/free-market internationalist. Which is half right I suppose. Maybe I wasn't vehement enough on some of the economics questions. I think I prefer the axes labelling on the original politcal compass site though.

Using the terms left and right wrt to their first axis is, of course, total bullshit. As for the second one, well, apparently being against punitive taxes on imports make me pro-war.

Because im not a protectionist and dont want to renationalise the railways, It tells me that im economically on the hard right.

This is after i "tended to agree" that working people pay too little tax and "stongly agreed" that the rich pay to little tax.

Also the comment on "an example of someone on the hard left is Polly Toynbee" made me lose all faith in the test - she's probably the most vocal Blairite in the country outside of the government.

I think it would be extremely wrong, as it would force people to not wear clothes....which is a pretty essential right as far as I am concerned. Nudists could be nudists, other could not, yet strangely enough the world would still continue. But laws forcing me not to wear clothes? That's as unfair as laws doing the opposite (which I know exist, but I dont happen to believe in)
