	DR mil strength Tired of ads?

I used a previously developed calc (attached, although it's not user friendly you can probably figure it out) ... figured out what DR must have (in a range of course) based on strength calcs (from the "weak to" and "strong to").

DR has around 13-14 units, probably; something like this:
7 horsemen, 4 warriors, 2 spearmen
or
4 horsemen, 6 warriors, 4 spearmen

all regular. Veteran units would decrease the numbers by a bit, but they seem to have mostly regular units.

We were average to DR while having:
2 warriors, 5 archers and a spearman.
Now we have 2 extra swordsmen and are strong again. Without calculations, I would say the estimates are a bit overstimated.

I agree with McM. It's highly unlikely they have more units than us, and especially not that many more units.

Like I said in another thread...being strong to someone else means having 120% or more of their military strength. I don't remember all the factors, but veteran units vs. regular units shouldn't account for them having that many more units.

We were also just strong to them a few turns ago, so them becoming "average" to us could only mean that they pulled within that 120%, not that they suddenly had a bigger army than we do.

My spreadsheet is not incorrect; it is based on the precise numbers you quote. It is also based on time tested values for military strength. The main thing is we don't really have that few units - look at the spreadsheet. Yes, I am assuming they got to precisely 80% of our strength, since we're fluctuating. It's possible they have a little less than that; they might have been at 81% before the swordsmen, but they also might have been at 85%, you can't tell what they built turn-to-turn.

Veteran adds about 33% to a unit; the fact that we have all veteran units means that if they had exactly the same units but regular, they'd have 25% more units than us, give or take, to be even strength; but as you see that allows them to have the same number of units, and be below 80%.

Further, we have some swordsmen, which are 3/2/1 4/4 units; they're worth something like 2 1/2 regular horsemen, check the spreadsheet I attached for the exact info.

That's why they could have more units than us. Also, i'm edging on the pessimistic on purpose, as that means we are less likely to be surprised But it's not going to be off by more than 2-3 units.

Did you attach the right spreadsheet?

It calculates Beta's military strength and mentions McMeadows, but I can't see anything about DR and their horses.
