Actually I don't see anyone using Communism as a front in this thread for justifying the regime's actions. That's coming from other people speaking for them. Most of the Commies realize the threat but don't want to just start shooting for jollies, especially when we've already done it once already and were wrong.

On the other hand Ned is actively promoting a nuclear confrontation.

BTW, i agree what shooting some missiles probably wouldnt be the best idea but perhaps the N. Koreans should be reminded that we have a few things to.

EDIT: Another thing. Exactly what is the brilliant plans by all those here? Do we do a deal? I think we tried that a couple of times and they just said **** you we will do what we want anyway and we will get more? So what is the plans of all the able minds here on poly?

Quite frankly, I run a tight regime in my country. It's not quite Communism, but it's sorta like it with Chosun characteristics. We believe more in juche, or self-reliance, than Marx.

Q. Cubed, the attitude of South Korea presents a problem indeed as we cannot go to war effectively against North Korea without South Korea's consent and cooperation. But I frankly don't understand South Korea's thinking that they would wait until the United States itself is threatened by North Korea hoping that when the United States effectively taken out of the equation by the nuclear threat that North Korea then would not invade.

Che's response convinced me that was a bad idea, while illustrating to perfection my observation regarding priorities.

If it was pointed out already, allow me to concur that North Korea is ruled by one of the world's most barbaric dictators.

Let me also point out the fact that North Korea still hasn't started on their half of a joint venture with South Korea that called for a joining of roadwork, meeting at the DMZ.
South Korea has finished their obligation.
