This could be a golden opportunity for someone politically connected in Texas to sit on the review board necessary to determine just what is too sexy. IMO they should instead be on the lookout for cheerleaders who are not sexy enough, like those plastic sugery enhanced 35 year old divorcees who seem to make up most pro football cheerleaders.

Here's the lowdown.

Cheerleaders' uniforms generally are skimpy, but for some reason are socially acceptable.

These legislators are probably complaining about dance team, whose uniforms sometimes look a lot sluttier, even if not as skimpy as chearleaders' uniforms. Dance team is a relatively new invention that I think comes originally from the NBA, where you have a lot of strippers on the team, etc., and hence the theme of the attire. See Miami Heat dancers, above.

My niece is on dance team and I don't really like what they wear. But I wouldn't have the heart to tell her that.

After careful analysis, it has been determined that none of the other NBA dance teams can come close to the Miami Heat dancers. Such is a travesty for other cities, however, much like BIG SHAQ DIESEL, they dominate the game, and then, there is everybody else standing around on another level.

OTOH this probably wont pass, the rednecks are more attached to this sort of thing than folks like me are. Its an old redneck thing, first you get sinful, gives you more to repent for. They'll keep the dirty cheerleading and continue to ban gay marriage as a "threat to the family". Meanwhile their daughters will get pregnant. Go figure.

In many states, Cheerleading and Poms teams are considered official sports just like football. My daughter earned her varsity letter this year, and her team made it to the state tournament... They practice and work out more than the Football team does. People who think it's "Sluts in training" just don't have a clue about that or many other things in real life
