Kuci, Prison is for people who are in jail long term >6 months while most people who get arrested for MJ stay only long enough to complete the manditory rehab and drug counciling then they're out. Of course they aren't in State or Federal Prisons because they are all processed through the local or county jails.

I have to say that this is the typical crap that comes from the government about marijuana. Just because type x person is prone to use marihuana doesn't mean that marijuana causes a person to be type x.

I know some ppl who are very respectable in their community who chose to smoke weed. Generally, these same ppl don't abuse alcohol like others I see, and the potheads, when not high, are type A go getters.

I see it as an option to relaxation for these people, and casual users aren't the problem.

When I was at Davis the cops didn't even bust you for it... unless you had a bunch. They figured it was a common college activity and that as long as they weren't causing any problems to let it go.

California is cool about it. I've been caught with it a few times and I was never charged.
