	Peace Conference Result Poll Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

So, our turnplaying time is near, and let's bring together our opinions how this conference should end.

We have two options, pay 98 ec for a truce with Sparta or refuse to pay and still be attacked each turn. Our current SE settings (FM) do not allow a counter-offensive and we can't really move out of our SE settings due to imminent drone problems (less energy => less psych => more drones).

Everyone please post their opinion after polling.

My personal opinion still is to make peace, invest 98 ec, maybe aim for a Treaty and unite against Yang.

Reasons:
- Keep the fun in the game, I'm close to fed up just fighting off attacks
- We can afford 98 ec
- We need to catch our breath for at least a few turns
- Build crawlers and mines for more minerals
- Take time to harden our defense force
- Build an offense force and fight Yang towards truce and get nicely equipped bases on the way
- Build RecTanks and RecCommons for more people
- Research Clean Reactors and MMI

As my first action as a member of this team, I'd vote for peace...
98 ec's is a lot less than the 600 requested a few turns ago and it's also a lot less than what we would lose if we continue the battle.

I have not kept up to well with the gme lately.

Is this 98ec a one time deal?

If so, I can support a one time ec payment (until they demand more within 3 turns)

Then it will be clear that - we pay we die, we don't pay we die.

I have not PM either Gaia or DA in a while. Have you spoken to them about this?

Unless we had total alliance with the DA and Gaia I find it hard to see how we can win this game.

The last time I looked Sparta had an overwhelming advantage in terms of bases and territory. They had a well equiped fielded military. They have infiltration of us.


Unless someone (or an alliance of factions) can take them down, I see no way of winning.
