Not necessarily. Most philosophy has been religious in nature. Consider Descartes, Kant, Hume, Aristotle, Hegal, etc. The Sermon on the Mount isn't philosophy.

I think some of you might have missed the [/sarcasm] tag in Shi's post. As a resident of Montgomery County I can tell you that that the school board chose the language over the objections of religious groups, and religious groups successfully sued to have it removed.
